The Nines

The Nines are a global religious phenomenon composed of people who have replaced one or more fingers, usually the smallest on their left hand, with a small golden cap. The melting of gold into their bones is an excruciating initiation ritual which disconnects them entirely from the god associated with that finger. This practice is believed to have originated in a mining penal colony located deep within the volcanic ocean. All members are assumed to be highly dangerous zealots.

Endbringers

Endbringers are believed to be the remnants of whatever cultures were most highly associated with the god slain by Gait. They claim to have seen the end and roam the lands in packs pillaging anyone they come across. Many scattered pockets of territories have been lost to the Endbringers. None dare venture into those lands anymore as the only thing that awaits them is certain death. It is known that there are divisions within the Endbringer ranks, suggesting that they have different reasons and origins for existing. But very little else is known about them due to their existing in perpetual state of frothing rage in the presence of anyone other than an Endbringer.

The Voice

The Voice are the world’s most prominent secret society. With any sign of old god itinerary, one can be assured The Voice is involved. Their signature blank masks have been found among inexplicable disasters around Eideiri. They are known to possess extraordinary wealth and exert their influence in nearly every government.

The Black Day

The Black Day are a death cult created to provide an infrastructure for necromancers around the world. They act to strategically place large masses of skeletons and skeletal monstrosities deep in every territory so that they may be raised by a necromancer worthy of their resources. They are named after the total solar eclipse, the only day a lich may be created.

Lady of the Marsh

The Lady of the Marsh is an urban legend localized to a single forest. It is believed that any sufficient congregation of those who live in contempt of the gods will be visited by the Lady of the Marsh. She arrives by night dragon wearing an unmistakably beautiful mask. Wielding a sword in one hand and a clawing whip in the other, she excises defiance through a gruesome display of ruination. The lady of the Marsh leaves behind a river of blood and a settlement none dare enter until a marsh has grown over.
